The Patched Denim (or not so denim) Jacket You Need This Fall

This fall I have an obsession with patched denim. Okay… so it actually started before this fall, but after scouring the market for a patched denim jacket, I ended up empty handed. Either the shape of  the jacket was off, or I just didn’t like the patches. I even thought about DIYing it, but quickly abandoned that idea in the interest of time and the thought of ruining a perfectly good denim jacket.

I’m excited to keep the Feature Friday series going, and as mentioned in the last Feature Friday post, this month I’m featuring black history makers. Isaac, today’s feature, definitely fits the bill. He’s a social engineer, business strategist, assistant professor, and entrepreneur. He also happens to be stylish.

So Isaac, for those reading who may not know you, tell us a little about yourself and what you do.

For starters, I’m a first-generation American and the first-born child of immigrant parents.  My mother and father left Ghana many years ago to pursue a new world, which resulted in me being a true diasporan.  I consider myself to be a pure social engineer, a person focused on solving social problems using an engineering mindset.

Feature Friday 

“I’ve always loved reading and writing. I was in a short story contest in 3rd grade and I think I got 2nd or 3rd place. Ever since then, I figured I would either read or write for a living.” – Mariah

Feature Fridays are back, and I’m really excited about the features I have lined up this month! In honor of black history month I’m intentionally featuring black history makers in my Feature Friday posts. First up, I have a fellow blogger, lawyer, and advocate.
