2018 Symphony Fashion Show
Fall fashion previewed in Nashville this spring at the 2018 Nashville Symphony Fashion Show. Featuring acclaimed designer Jason Wu and entertainment by Nashville’s own Grammy-winning quartet, Little Big Town, the show fused together just the right blend of ambiance, music, and style to create a picture-perfect spring fashion event. This year marked the 13th annual show, and it’s veteran status shined through the details, vibe, and execution.
The evening began with cocktails in the courtyard. The weather was beautiful. The décor was chic, sophisticated, and inviting. Cocktails were flowing, and the space was illuminated by candle light, other ambient lighting, and beautiful flowers.
Designer Jason Wu captivated guests with a peek at fall fashion. Models showcased pieces that were structured yet feminine, a mix of jewel tones and neutrals, and select pieces were embellished with Swarovski crystals. Little Big Town complimented the runway show with an amazing performance which included hits Better Man and Girl Crush. I dabble very little in country music; but, I must say the performance was excellent. And of course the fashion did not disappoint.
After the show, guests enjoyed a real-life photo booth equipped with several backdrops and an in-person photographer. The evening wrapped with a post-event reception in the Schermerhorn Symphony Center lobbies and courtyard.
The annual Symphony Fashion Show is a fundraising event benefiting Symphony educational programs. Two students from the Symphony’s Accelerando program performed at this year’s show.
